In the Wales Italy game Wales kicked the ball out on the full, from outside 22m
It was a long kick - perhaps 40/50m, and Italian player caught the ball in touch, and then ran up the touchline toward to where the line of touch would be... and about half way there took a QT.
Wayne Barnes stopped it.. and said 'no, you must take the QT EITHER where you caught it, OR at the line of touch'
Was he wrong?
(b) For a quick throw-in, the player may be anywhere outside the field of play between the place where the ball went into touch and the player’s goal line.
