It was interesting to hear a significant number of the crowd booing when the French kicked the ball into touch to finish the game.

I heard people around me saying that as the French couldn't win the championship, they should tried to keep the ball in play to score or so that England could seek to do similar.

The idea that your opponents should play to any style or tactic to assist you win the championship is abhorrent, total bullshit IMO and I happily told them so.

I had no issue with their game ending kick, instead Englands falling short was much more to do with a failure to rack up enough points against the hapless GrandSpoon Jocks!

PS.. I remember another "integrity driven" decision by matt giteau when he told his hooker (x teammate of their opponents) to swivel ..... Long may this attitude reign irrespective of whether my team looses out or not.

This is the same French side that elected to take the quick tap despite the game clock being over?!

Some people really do watch through rose tinted glasses
