The Internet weather forecast for today is 2-3 feet of snow.

As an afterthought it adds: "Roads will be slippery".

Hmmm, thanx, I hadn't considered that possibility.

After 28 hours of blizzard like conditions we're down to flurries with 15 mph winds, wind chill of -13C. Snow is about 24" deep but the drift in the courtyard has completely covered my window. The radar map didn't even have us in the heaviest areas but almost on the fringe. I expect there are places with well over three feet.

This is one to remember.

If they omitted the afterthought and someone had an accident, they'd likely get sued :horse:

I remember reading an article several years ago which explained, half in jest, that it was a choice of either the warning, a ridiculously expensive ignition kill system, or faith in common sense. The warning won hands down.
