  • Android & iPhone Apps available for RugbyRefs.com

RugbyRefs.com has moved forward in it's accessibility with the launch of an application for Android & iPhones users.

The application will allow the users a better interface to use while on the move.

Whilst the Android App has been available for a week, the iPhone app had to wait for review by Apple, this is now complete and the iPhone app will be in the App store by 30th July 2011.

For users of non iPhone/android phones the ability to view the site through their mobile browser is still available.

Apps looks great - so far! But

Anyone else had this error (iPhone app on iPad, immediately after downloading): There appears to be a connection issue between your device and RugbyRefs. Please try again.
Clearly no connection issue between device and network, because I just downloaded it.

Just downloaded and will check out later. One thing that I would suggest is that you need to search on "rugbyrefs" to find it. If you search "rugby ref" the app is not there. Maybe you want to keep it exclusive?

You may have caught it when we were changing servers, I have it and connects fine.

    who’d be a referee

    Thread Starter: Jz558

To come straight to the point I don’t think this has been a good week for the 6 Nations or rugby in general. Whether it was Matt Carley in Cardiff or Jaco Peyper at Twickenham, the level of abuse has been unacceptable. We long ago lost the moral high ground but if referees are being spoken to by...

Folau’s online comments have taken a turn for the worse.

    Thread Starter: L'irlandais

APF article carried by a.n. Other online site SYDNEY (AFP) - Sacked Wallabies rugby star Israel Folau Monday (Nov 18) sparked outrage by suggesting destructive bushfires and drought ravaging Australia were "God's judgement" for the legalisation of same-sex marriage and abortion. The devout...

    Henshaw on May

    Thread Starter: timmad

England v Ireland 65 mins. Jonny May makes a break down the right wing. As he approached the 22 he kicks ahead and then is clattered by Henshaw. Peyper sees nothing wrong. Was it obstruction by Henshaw or was he in the process of making a tackle as May kicked? Did Henshaw use his arms in the...

Wales v France - Did the ref bottle it?

    Thread Starter: belladonna

    1. France slap-down a Wales pass near the French try line - scrum only. Did the ref bottle the call? 2. Wales scrum advancing rapidly over the French 5m line, wheels and splinters and France get penalised and yellow carded - but no PT?!? Did the ref bottle the call?

Offside line for 9 at uncontested scrums

    Thread Starter: Novice

Refereeing a game today, uncontested scrums from the start (one side didn’t have experienced front row). After the game, it was pointed out that the offside line for the 9 is the tunnel at an uncontested scrum - I was playing the ‘normal’ laws (offside line is the ball). I’ve searched World...
