  • Now Available - New RugbyRefs.com Kit by Akuma Rugby

So you need some new referee kit?

    Order Form is here: RugbyRefs_OrderForm.xls

Fed up of having to buy kit for other sports and make it fit for your duties as a Rugby Referee?

Well don't worry, we have the answer.

RugbyRefs.com has teamed up with Akuma to bring you a range of items that have been made specifically with the rugby referee in mind.

The kit is made from the highest quality material, and will help you to feel like a professional referee.

There are three types of referee shirt, a muscle pro shirt, for those referees that are a bit ripped and want to show it off on the pitch, a light weight style shirt, perfect for running around on very hot days, it's thin material allows for you to stay cool whilst still looking good, & a traditional shirt which is great for the lower temps where a thin shirt just wouldn't give you enough comfort and warmth. Both shirts are sublimated so you will never have an issue with ironing or washing, these logos will not come off.

The shorts are equally as comfortable, the soft material gives them a light smooth feel on the skin, whilst the pockets are not open and vast like old style rugby shorts. These pockets will easily keep your score card wallet with red & yellow cards, and extra whistle safe, there will be no issue of having to look for whatever was in your pocket, because you know it will stay there. Due to the soft material that the shorts are made from, they will also not cause any issues getting what you are after out. So no looking daft when trying to pull out your yellow card. However, if you prefer the traditional cotton shorts, then these are available too.

The socks have elastic tops to ensure they stay when you are running around the pitch, if you want to stick an extra pencil down each, go ahead, it'll still be there at the end of the game.

The extra layers that can be supplied are perfect for any weather and age, the hoodie is comfortable & warm with good central style pockets. The soft shell drill top is snug with a fleece lining on the inside and a windproof style outer layer. The three quarter jacket will be great on those days where that drizzle just won't stop, Your kit will remain in pristine condition until you remove it for kick off.

Also available is a three in one jacket, and training bottoms which will look right with any of the tops you buy, depending on your preference. These are also of excellent quality and are sure to impress.

Polo shirts & T-shirts are available too, the Polo shirt is comfortable & lightweight, and will be perfect for wearing to any casual occasion, or after game where number ones are not required.

The T-shirt is light weight and perfect to use for a drill top when warming up before the game. Technical T-Shirts & Polo Tops are also available.

If you have all this kit you'll need something to put it in. RugbyRefs & Akuma understand that there is no one bag fits all when it comes to being a referee, so travel by car so would like a bag you can throw in the back, some by public transport, so something that is not heavy and cumbersome, and some even by plane, where you want a bag that can be easily transported.

We have the answer for you all, first we have the classic kit back, large central pocket with a U style zip for easy packing 7 unpacking, with two compartments on either side, one side having nets to keep your kit well segregated.

The second is a rucksack style kit bag that can be easily be put over the shoulder so that you can get on the train or bus without any hassle.

Lastly we have a larger style kit back that has wheels and an extending handle to be able to pull it along. We believe these bags will serve the need of most referees.

Lastly we have a beanie for those cold days when you need to keep your head warm, baseball style caps will also be available soon.

If you want the kit we have come up with ways to make it cheaper for you too. If you buy one of the four bundles (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Special) we'll give you a discount. If you want to save on the cost of shipping, then we recommend ordering with a number of your fellow referees, and having the items shipped together in one batch.

To see what you get on the bundles see the price lists below:

So what are you waiting for, order today.

      Hullo,
To avoid getting spam it's best to post a screenshot of your email address. The typed versions will be quickly harvested by automatic bots which trawl online forums.

I'm a recently qualified referee looking to buy some sort of decent kit, is this a good kit to buy? If I buy this could you throw any extras in for me?

I've got some of the kit and it is pretty good quality. Akuma aren't known for throwing in freebies though, so I doubt that will happen.

Have you enquired about joining the local ref society? (North Mids?) - they will have kit available to purchase at their meetings at a better price than the Akuna stuff, though not sure on their policy of how many games you need to ref for them before they'll give you the free society issue kit (after paying annual subs)
