The recent furore over the Sam Cane v Robbie Henshaw collision in the second test between Ireland and New Zealand got me to thinking about the merits of using slow motion video to make judgements about potential foul play incidents in rugby. I think we have all heard the meme that sometimes, looking ...

Nigel Owens was born on the 18 June 1971 and raised in Mynyddcerrig; a small traditional Welsh speaking village approximately 12 miles from Carmarthen, in south west Wales. Ireland v AllBlacks #2

    Thread Starter: irishref

Ok this time without the silly accusations of bias so we can discuss a couple of things. Thread Starter: CrouchTPEngage

    Thread Starter: ACUSmember

Can't see any discussion of this incident from this weekend's Scotland v South Africa match, which sadly doesn't appear on the BBC highlights, hence why no video link. Scotland telegraph a big looping pass, Le Roux's eyes light up and he goes for the intercept, but whilst he gets a hand to it,...

    Law check - scrum turnover

    Thread Starter: Zebra1922

I've had several incidents recently when if the ball is turned over in the scrum (i.e. won by the non putting in team) the now defending team immediately rush up beyond the 5m offside line prior to the ball emerging from the scrum. TO me they are all offside as the ball has not exited the scrum...
