The National Rugby Championships (NRC) in Australia start today and RugbyRefs.com is pleased to be able to bring you the full appointments for match officials for rounds 1 & 2.

Many of the players involved have been called up from their local club teams to take part, and those who perform well could be in line for involvement in their local Super Rugby franchise.

Organisers of the Rugby World Cup, taking place between September and October 2015 in England, have added an innovation to help novice fans learn the complex rules of the game. During the matches, fans will have access to simplified, in-game commentary with detailed explanations of the rules related to what is currently happening in each match.

This was revealed when tournament organisers unveiled some of their plans for Britain's greatest global sporting event since the London 2012 Olympic Games. A report in the Daily Telegraph on April 29th had proposed some of the terms and rules that will be in the “Idiot’s guide to rugby union”. But now more details have been given about the organiser's mode of enlightening new fans about rugby.

    Sneaky QTI

    Thread Starter: didds

Anybody else notice this nicely sneaky QTI "move" last saturday by the MAB? They did it twice (not sure when the other instance is) so I do think its pre-planned, or at least pre-considered. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqNGshZBhJg&feature=youtu.be&t=2860 MAB catches ball in touch,...

14.2 [A] has the pro game removed this from their game

    Thread Starter: VM75

Unless I'm mistaken, the pro game seems to ignore instances of this nowadays . Most ref's recognise the vulnerability of a player who's gone to ground Here's a clip from the NZ v BIL game , it's a fairly obvious example of how the arriving player just plops onto the player who's...
