    Unusual one for me at the weekend ... The kicker asked if he could move the ball away from the line of the try .. but away from the posts, ie a bit closer to the touchline . This was to get out of a big patch of mud

    Knock on into the dead ball area.

    I was watching a game today, if the attacking team knock the ball on into the dead ball area, defensive team then touch it down, would you give the option of the knock on or 22? I have been giving this option but then I saw a game today in The Champ Cup and the option wasn't given.

    Question from my old club as the their ref banned them from using two cones. Difficult for me to picture but apparently. The kicker laid two standard training cones on the ground one at 45 degrees laying on top of the other. The ref said you can't have separate devices and they must be one piece?...

    I wish to discuss and or seek views on the difference in of law 19.28 which says start of play ( is this when you call for a scrum) and and law 29.30 which says scrum begins ( which is when the ball,leaves the hand of the scrum half) 27;. Players remain onside for the duration of the scrum....
