[Law] Re: New framework .. Biggar

thepercy's logic has persuaded me - I am changing my RC to a YC following input from the TMO 'initial contact was not with the head' (which I think is enough of a mitigating factor).

    Re: Wales quickly taken PK...

Seems the incident provoked a law change (not for Watson but for the HIA exchange happening at the same time)

[Law] Re: New framework .. Biggar

I'm pretty certain it has set a clear range of options : Play-On, PK Only, YC, RC... what more is required ;) We will always now known that the decision is one of them.

[Law] Re: New framework .. Biggar

    High, with head-contact
High degree of danger (he jumps onto his back, leaving contact with the ground and somewhat recklessly and swings his arm around)
I can't see anything to mitigate...

    So...

Re: Great to hear commentators praise a ref

That's quite some shirt clash, but the incident was well dealt with... wonder if the carded-player had been warned, that seems quite a soft YC.

[Law] Re: Charge down & off side

For me any touch on the ball immediately after a kick is a charge-down irrespective of the direction of the onward flight.
Easier to sell, less confusion, and allows play to continue.

    I get that...

    Re: Wales quickly taken PK...

I didnít hear a whistle or instruction to put time back on, nor (for what it is worth) was the TV clock running when wales took the PK.

I have sympathy with the view that England were sleepy - but...

I think iím just going to accept we are unlikely to agree on this one... on the plus side we both think the outcome of a try to the ABs is fair.

"it wasn't me sir, it was the collision!".

I don't think intent is really relevant, but FWIW I don't believe it was entirely unintended on KB's part that the collision happened...

[INTERNATIONAL] Re: Kurtley beale - lucky to stay on the field?

I donít agree with that interpretation of events, for me KB puts himself into contact with the ball carrier and does so in a manner that constitutes a shoulder-charge. The law puts the reposibility...

[INTERNATIONAL] Re: Kurtley beale - lucky to stay on the field?

For me Beal puts himself into the path of the ball-carrier and then proceeds to body-check him with the arm in the sling position. This to me seems the definition of a shoulder-charge.

    I think all...
