[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

Bearing in mind that the OP is a spectator who, from many metres away, alleges that he/she saw "Loss of consciousness" occur

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

I guess you guys look for the same symptoms as us. Slurred speech, complaint of dizzyness or headache, unsteadiness on feet, vomiting, etc. And, of course, loss of consciousness.

    You might find...

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

OK I'm sure I know what you mean but, using your words, seeking medical advice on a "head injury" is not necessarily a concussion. A player may have a cut on his/her face or a blood nose or a black...

Of course. A "shot to the head" is not necessarily a sign of concussion.

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

what do you interpret "shot to the head" to mean? Every high tackle? A whack on the nose?
  7. [Law] Re: another kick at goial kicked for try post!

and there are trainers/medicos dicking around with the Blue team suggesting time off. What may be described as a Charlie Foxtrot.

[Line out] Re: Offside by QTI

    and finally:

Red #15 kicks ball into Blue in-goal where it is grounded by Blue #15. Blue #15 tosses ball to Blue #10 on 22 for the drop out. Has he illegally benefited from being in an offside...

[Line out] Re: Offside by QTI

    some more examples:

    1. Red #15 kicks from 1/2 way and ball rolls over Blue DBL. Blue elect to take drop out. All this time, Red #6 has been standing motionless on Blue 22 and is now in good...

[Line out] Re: Offside by QTI

Nothing about tackling intended. My posit was solely about "being in an offside position before ball becomes dead then benefiting from that when the ball becomes alive again".

    I am challenging the...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

Let's add a bit of colour. It's wet & cold, you and the other team are standing in the middle of the park, shivering, and the recalcitrants are still in the sheds. It's game time + 10 minutes. The...

ultimately, if the team isn't out there at scheduled time +15 minutes, it's a forfeit.

    Re: Cavalry Charge

it is such a rare & misunderstood event, I'd likely blow it up as soon as I realised what was happening, explain to both captains, then let them take the original PK again.

[Line out] Re: Offside by QTI

Red player kicks ball from 1/2 way into Blue 22 where a 'mark' is taken. A Red team mate who was in front of the kicker, but who was not offside under 10 m law, stands motionless until 'mark' is...

Well, I'm hearing of lot of what you can't do and why you can't do it. Why don't you tell the OP (and the rest of us) what YOU would do?

Indeed. And on that cold, wet Saturday when ref resources are short, maybe its your club that the refs are happy to make an effort to support.

If, during a game, you stop your watch because a player is wasting time and he still wastes time, he is subject to sanction.

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

in my neck of the woods the teams are required to provide TJs. If a coach had a whinge to me, I'd tell him to send his nominated TJ to give the opposition a knock.
