    Re: RWC 2019 cancellations

New Zealand are smart with the money they do get - central contracts and central control and no power to clubs

    Re: QF Appointments

Happy with where Australia are. For a 6th ranked team playing its countries number 4 winter sport making the quarters is meeting expectations. To be honest I think another Australian WC win is a long...

[RWC] Re: How are the RWC refs doing so far ?

Not at a WC. The best refs should be there. If that means all kiwis, or all french or all anything else. Id rather a kiwi ref aust v nz than anyone else.

The ashes showed the folly of picking...

  10. Re: AUSvGEO - Naisani YC - a reason for concern?

YC, just, for the Irishman, penalty, just, for the samoan. But I am clearly out if touch with 'rugby' now

Re: So, about this framework then...

And then players will walk away from the game. When cards are given for accidents not thuggery why bother when you can go and play league, and at least here not have to travel as far for a game and...

Re: So, about this framework then...

At least in grassroots we dont have super super super slow mo looking for the merest brush on someones chin.

We are still in the "if it looks bad it probably is" and only true thuggery is a red,...

    Re: RWC 2019 cancellations

Should be just a no game, and then pool standings be done on points/games played (so 12 points from 3 games would beat 15 points from 4 games)

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

In Australia we dont have any clock stopping at all in park rugby, except for First Grade, and only First Grade play 40 min halves.

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

Thats what happens in other sports. For example in Aussie Rules a quarter in 20 mins playing time. Every time the ball stops moving the clock stops, so quarters actually go 30 mins

[RWC] Re: How are the RWC refs doing so far ?

So long as grassroots refs don't try it.

Park props cant crouch that long without things started to seize up and snap :hap:

    Re: Read in trouble?

Agree. These ones (like Bakkies a few years ago) are worse to me than ones like Hodge which are split second errors not deliberate actions. Read has time to consider his actions and makes a choice to...

[Ruck] Re: Where is the offside line for Red ?

This is one of the things I don't like about the new laws. We are rewarding attacking (ie team with ball - not law definition) team players for going off their feet and staying off their feet. Apart...
