I've always clapped both teams through and walked through myself at the end.
    Just thought this was normal.
You will get some who will ignore you, some shake your hand/ pat your shoulder/ cheers...

    Re: Coin Toss

Home skipper tosses, away skipper calls winner decides what to do always has been as far as I'm concerned.
Never ceases to amaze me that captains haven't thought it through what to do if they win!...

  4. [Ruck] Re: Should the ladder/caterpiller ruck be outlawed?

For me this is the refs fault at the top level, if the ball is at the back foot and clearly available they need to call use it. Sadly they don't.
If you have a two man caterpillar and you call use...

    the way I see it,
1 it ensures that when I travel, there will be a game,
2 saves the home club, money on expenses,
    3. the wife can...

I don't have a problem with that Crossref.
Aspatria still have a large communal bath, bloody brilliant after a cold wet windy January game :-)

[Tackle] Re: catch in air protocol?

If the leaping defender has a bad fall whether it's his fault or not, loud blast, stop play.
Potential flash point then manage it with your explaination

Re: End of Game - Did I get it Right?

Should the game clock be reset?

I've seen a couple of tries ruled out today for earlier infringements called by the TMO or requested by the TO3.

We only get appointed ARs in cup finals or the very occasional game where we have spare refs i.e. once or twice a year. I've never been trained as an AR and I assume most haven't.
