Yes, "Option" should always apply to the team that's been offended against.

    Dickie E,
the wide [game continuance quickly] permissions of a QTI should prevail, I can't imagine that...

    I agree.

16.c says "Maul ends AND play continues when the ball is over the goal line ......

    so, let it continue ....

I always FK the first instance i see of this, then explain 'loudly' that no-one has any business standing inside the 5m, doing so can only ever be intended to prevent a throw, so it matters not to me...
  6. Re: Why do I keep tearing my calf muscle ? Any advice ?

CR & CTPE , I've had both reoccurring Calf tear & a sore achillies pain, in both instances a course of physio has sorted both.

Calf took longest [8weeks] as the tear needed very firm [almost...

Re: Guardian Article on Lawes Offside

Lawes got caught by a step forward from a NZAB player.

The offside line was established & several england players [including CL] players lined up 'onside' then just as the ball was about to be...

Another soccer own goal here. officialdom gone mad.

Whoever complained, needed to be given a 'not interested' message from the game, whatever next .....

    [Tackle] Re: Kolbe v France

Correct IMO, white player didnt attempt his charge toward the ball - instead he ignored the ball & late hit the kicker [whilst not attempting to grasp either !]

Indeed lots of players have been allowed to knock it forward and then regather IF the referee considers that it was part of a 'bonafide' interception or gathering attempt, however knocking it over...

Re: Pococks offside that wasn't an offside.

    Marc,

I believe the referees are applying materiality to those instances. There are probably 6 holding offences per attack team, and 6 from the defensive team at virtually every corner kick...
  21. Re: What can WR do about Red Cards ruining games for the fans?

  22. Re: What can WR do about Red Cards ruining games for the fans?
