[Tackle] Re: Not really a tackle but a slide..

As we cant read his mind I'd question the " or taking him out" suggestion. sometimes shit happens. That doesnt not make it dangeropus of course - and while allegedly refs shouldnt take intention...

except one is a tackle on the ball carrier and the other is the ball carrier on a defnder - a hand off is a better comparison.

[Tackle] Re: Not really a tackle but a slide..

    Sympathies with both players.

PK, dangerous play, finger wag to be careful going forward.

[Tackle] Re: Pulling through at the tackle

I guess if blue has the ball in his hands there is not contact OVER the ball. Instead its contact with a ball carrier ie an attempted tackle.

[Law] Re: Windy days. What can happen?

I'm sure it would be counted as taken back in, and I do appreciate your attempt to rationalise it - but in your example there are two distinct actions... it's not the 22 drop out that is the action...

[Law] Re: Windy days. What can happen?

    or simpler (?)

22 D/O crosses 22 and is blown back inside the same 22 where the defemdoig team kick direct to touch.

    Taken back in, no ground?

[Junior] Re: U14 Rugby - Lineout

Come in late here - sorry.

As a coach Id interpret that to mean uncontested throw and catch. But its all "ON" after that.

Re: New Front Row logic tree

I would suggest that is downb to match regulations eg cup, league.

If its a frriendly and the np FR replacements team is told before kick off "youve altready lost the match" they may well just go...

[Law] Re: Wales Italy 6N 2020; was Biggar offside?

    Good spot.

Id say no ruck, so tackle not through the gate. There is contact "over the ball" bit at least one player (blue) is not on his feet - he is the tackler that has "inadevertently" fallen...

until there is a knock on, there can be no offside. so its the KO that has to be ascertained first.

there was no KO. so there was no consideration of offside
