Re: Jap v Sco - No Red Card?!?

Just refuting your insistence that this is a "trial" and was introduced at the WC.

Re: Jap v Sco - No Red Card?!?

The thing he did wrong was hit his opponent in the head (with force) with his shoulder while attempting to make a tackle.

Re: End of Game - Did I get it Right?

Why did you stop play? Was the injury serious? Was there risk to the injured player or medical staff in continuing to play? Why did Blue, with possession of the ball want play to be stopped?

    I...

[RWC] Re: USA/ARG - Offside from kick

Time and distance proximity to the kick. You'll know it when you see it.

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

I think you are being disingenuous here. You just a few post prior suggested taking away the opportunity to kick for points on most PKs. I want the kickers to be MORE skilled, and able to kick under...

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

I was a kicker for Grid Football, albeit a second string one, and this was 20+ years ago. I had to run onto the field, and get set to kick during the roughly 30 second play clock that the ball...

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

Why would it be unfair? They are wasting everyone's time where rugby could be played.

I think a full minute from when the tee arrives is an eternity, standing around while the kicker goes...

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

Another option to stop the time wasted would be to use a clock similar to the play clock in Grid Football or shot clock in Basketball. 30 seconds to form a scrum, lineout, or restart kick? We...

Re: one flag up, one flag down

Go with the AR that was responsible for the post/crossbar that the ball was close to, how could the other AR have seen it better?

Re: one flag up, one flag down

I think the referee (and the opposite AR/TJ) should go with the decision of AR/TJ on the post that is contentious. Also noting the near AR/TJ is responsible for the crossbar. Why would the far...

[Ruck] Re: Where is the offside line for Red ?

Red could join the ruck to contest for possession or have some control over where their offside line is, but they have chosen not to, as is their choice to have extra defenders for the next phase.

Re: one flag up, one flag down

Why would there be disagreement? Call your own post, near AR calls crossbar, why would you have an opinion on the other ARs post?

    [Maul] Re: Maul Law 16.8 & 16.9

    [Law] Re: Unsporting Conduct Question.

I don't think a re-kick is on for this. I do think the referee has authority to make abusive spectators leave, but I don't think this is one of those cases. This isn't a law violation or abuse,...

    Re: YC return

I'll answer the question with a question.

If there was a knock on, no advantage, scrum. Look at your watch, less than 10 minutes playing time has elapsed for YC player. Before everyone is formed...
  23. Re: How's this season going re new law interprretations down in the weeds?

What kind of whistle were you using?
  24. [Law] Re: Tap penalty to player already running: allowed?

If they are NOT near the goal line, would you allow the team who earned the PK to move about before the tap?
  25. [Law] Re: Tap penalty to player already running: allowed?

A defending player can run forward, but not past the goal line until the tap, everything else you are saying is "just silly". Of course getting the timing right will be difficult but not impossible...
