  1. [Law] Re: Is there a definition of a kicking tee?

I seem remember the LotG says or used to say tee must be "approved by the Union".

I would not be fussed at two training cones.

I recall (when you could kick off and restart with a place kick)...
  2. [CLUB RUGBY] Re: Saracens breaching salary cap, yet again.

I was more surprised they got the choice rather than the fait accompli.
  3. [CLUB RUGBY] Re: Saracens breaching salary cap, yet again.

You can have relegation or we'll have a good look at your books!

    Erm …..relegation please.

    WTF???

I hope them, their fezzes and their stupid finger wiggling enjoy their day out at Clifton...

[Kit] Re: High Leg boots Quins v Clermont

I saw high leg boots and was disappointed when I actually read the thread!
  5. [CLUB RUGBY] Re: Saracens breaching salary cap, yet again.

What about redistribution of their titles a la Lance Armstrong?

Although I think LA was stripped of them and no one else was given them in the case of the TdF
  6. [Golden Oldies] Re: Reports on Referee post-game on WhosTheRef

    Welcome to the forum.

I wouldn't worry too much about the report from the loser.

Tyrrells Premier games are, as outlined above, invariably refereed by RFU appointees usually NP @ Level 3-4. My...

    Really...?

All things considered a 20mph throw (assuming we're sticking with receiver stays put until ball is thrown) travels about 9 m/s so at the front...

    Fair enough.
  10. [Line out] Re: Saracens vs Munster European Rugby Champions Cup

Is it the "Fat **** or the aftermath or the fact JK is a doctor that is the issue?

It's very much the same language used by Peter O'Mahony when he and Kyle Sinckler (Ireland v England - last...

[Law] Re: Referees using player's names

I do this. If I ask for the Captain as opposed to "Tom" then we've switched into bollocking mode and the "Captain" bit is for others as much as him.

  14. [Line out] Re: Saracens vs Munster European Rugby Champions Cup

I heard the "misuse" of BMI explained as "All people who live in Edinburgh live in Scotland and you can't reverse the two and have it make sense".

    Works for me.

I think I can wear the red RFU tracksuit thing and some RFU trackie bottoms. That'll cover a multitude of sins (and shirts and leggings etc.) :)

Weather looks warmer than of late, 10 degrees C and...

Re: Where are you this weekend - 2019-20

This weekend I thought I was feet up watching but now I appear to have been press ganged into:-

AR2 for number #2 son at

Wharfedale v Sedgley Park in N2N

I enjoyed my last run out on the...
  17. [Law] Re: another kick at goial kicked for try post!

    I do.

If we're all stood around and there's no tee and I've had no discernible call from Captain or prospective kicker then I might ask "what you doing?"

I usually get a reply of "we're going...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

I think when you have perhaps 100 people looking at their watches and a team stood on the pitch then the need to knock and do all the stuff outlined above may become more of an issue.

    It all...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

    Good for you.

I find you've never needed to knock as a bit alien to my experience. I'm not knocking like some Middlesbrough bailiff but I suspect if the teams at the level I do (mostly) were left...

    Re: Half Time

I've only come across 2 teams doing it at L7 and that was only ever at home. Never come across an away team doing it. I assume they must do it at home too.

One of the teams is now L5 so I assume...
