    [Junior] Re: Tap and Go

I have empathy with the scrum half.

Oppo gets between 9 and 10 at the crucial moment , if the scrum half throws the ball anyway the ref says he is milking it, if he goes blind the ref says it...

[6N] Re: Wales v France - Did the ref bottle it?

The other time you do see deliberate knocks is on the scrum half, as he takes the ball out of a ruck (we come full circle)
In that situation the knock is clear and obvious , and I think we can...

[6N] Re: Wales v France - Did the ref bottle it?

    Yes I agree with that.
But sometimes you do see a deliberate knock . But that will normally be in a chase situation where the knocker is facing his own goal and can be more confident of knocking...

[Junior] Re: Red and Yellow Cards at Youth Level

in England we have cards at U14 (it is 5 minutes. They are playing 25 mins each way. That is in the Regs)

For a RC offence I would give a RC.

For YC offence I would give a YC (espcecially...

[6N] Re: Wales v France - Did the ref bottle it?

If you are not sure it was a knock then you are not sure. Fine to have a scrum.

I was just talking about the Law : if you DO judge that a tackler deliberately knocked the ball out of the ball...

[6N] Re: Wales v France - Did the ref bottle it?

If you deliberately knock or rip the ball then
.. if it goes forward from the knocker PK deliberate knock on
.. if it goes backward from the knocker play on

    Re: Henshaw on May

It would normally go forwards so would be a deliberate knock on

[In-goal] Re: Double Movement and Mauls

It's another example of the confusion in the Law book, as when it is held up, the ball IS dead.

    So it should be

    Held up = attacking scrum

Touched down by attackers = try

    Kicked right...

[Scrum] Re: Offside line for 9 at uncontested scrums

I think that is in the Laws as it's an interpretation of 7.2.g. Advantage cannot be played when it would be dangerous (and my society share that interpretation, so it's not just Wales)

    Defining...

    Re: Henshaw on May

it looked to me like a no arms tackle, slightly late.

because it was borderline late they seemed to ignore the no arms bit

[Law] Re: Knock on into the dead ball area.

In fact rhere were multiple changes. Some of them did seem to be accidental, but many were clearly deliberate (and welcome)

In my match today the away team turned up with no front row, so by competition rules should start with 14

    [Scrum] Nigel on scrums

    Odd article from St Nige

.. he still tells the 9 when to put the ball in

Re: New Front Row logic tree

By all means have a penalty for going uncontested. One league I ref in its 10 points.

But not man off. It's a community game, the aim is to have as many people playing as possible.

    And...

    Re: New Score Card design

That's the best scorecard I have seen, IMO, not least because it exactly supports how I like to score .. new line for each score showing the sequence of the scores and the time. I like that

Re: New Front Row logic tree

Phil , you are missing the point. If you go off for a *head injury* then you don't go man off, you stay at 15 uncontested
    (Refer to flow chart)
  25. [Law] Re: Folauís online comments have taken a turn for the worse.

I think he does promote religious tolerance , while also evangelising. (a mainstream position)

Do you have any quotes where he is intolerant of other religions
