Re: Where are you this weekend - 2019-20

Egremont v St Benedicts, Cumbria L8. Two teams who like to throw the ball around and get stuck in! Should be a nice quiet Cumbrian derby , as no doubt half of them willl have been out on the beer the...

    [Law] 37 Seconds red card

Seen lots of discussion this week about this red card.

Club refs, in England, are they covered?

Just picking up an issue from another thread where people have implied that Club refs and clubs who allow fixtures with them to take place are not covered by RFU insurance as they must have a minimum...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

[Law] Re: Penalties and keeping track of them

I understand the rule of thumb comments but in many of my games, skill level, law knowledge and fitness are the major contributions to penalties rather than cynical!
  7. Do you walk through the tunnel after the game?

I've always clapped both teams through and walked through myself at the end.
    Just thought this was normal.
You will get some who will ignore you, some shake your hand/ pat your shoulder/ cheers...

    Re: Coin Toss

Home skipper tosses, away skipper calls winner decides what to do always has been as far as I'm concerned.
Never ceases to amaze me that captains haven't thought it through what to do if they win!...

Machu Pichu! Might struggle to find a game or a pint of Guinness there but I'll try
  10. [Ruck] Re: Should the ladder/caterpiller ruck be outlawed?

For me this is the refs fault at the top level, if the ball is at the back foot and clearly available they need to call use it. Sadly they don't.
If you have a two man caterpillar and you call use...

    Re: Conflicts of interest

LLP, why not ask? I do and tell home club what I am doing.
    the way I see it,
1 it ensures that when I travel, there will be a game,
2 saves the home club, money on expenses,
    3. the wife can...

I don't have a problem with that Crossref.

[Tackle] Re: catch in air protocol?

If the leaping defender has a bad fall whether it's his fault or not, loud blast, stop play.
Potential flash point then manage it with your explaination

I've seen a couple of tries ruled out today for earlier infringements called by the TMO or requested by the TO3.
