    Can you prevent cynical play?

Maybe, maybe the teams are better disciplined, maybe he misses lots, perhaps his tolerance for deliberate offences are higher? Who knows.

Re: Sale v Leicester Yellow Card?

    That is not a punch.

If you punch anyone during a game I am refereeing, you will be sent off. If people dont like that stance they have a chance not to appoint me.

So you feel assault and battery have a place on the rugby pitch?

It would be interesting report wondering why a red card for any punch would be wrong?

Re: Sale v Leicester Yellow Card?

Yes always. Not my issue, you go with one hand you run the risk. Always a PK at least. Players know that and accept it.

Re: Sale v Leicester Yellow Card?

Re: Sale v Leicester Yellow Card?

Disagree totally, you cannot referee on intent.

The laws support actions no intent.

  24. Re: how can there ever be a clash of colours these days?

Re: No let up in dissent

Thats how i deal with appealing.
