[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

    Of course.
  2. Re: Club refs, in England, are they covered?

That dos not give much detail. I'm sure the RFU have taken advise on their, referee, policies. What worries me is seeing ta post suggesting that anyone could rock onto the pitch with no training...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

AS Balones put you have the option of abandoning the game. It is all about context. After 10 minutes whatever the conditions I'm probably feeling they are not prepared to play.

    You use some...

I've no problem. Seems he has, for whatever reason.

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

Also, in Wales, all rugby from youth upwards (L2 min) is appointed by a regional officer and at L3 for national league games. Ww are appointed to the game and not the home team so if there is a...

To ask? Of course. But the call is the referee's no one elses. UNLESS HIA is in place. I'd put the burden on the team to prove it was.

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

    Off topic, BUT!

Remember when they are playing and you are reffing they are just a player trying to con-vince you that they were legal. Players cheat, that included refs who are playing!

    I had...

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

As does our game BELOW youth. Youth andabove must be appointed here. All "Age Grade" refs here have to have a WRU L1 license. They are postively encouraged to attend society and look to progress but...

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

On a related topic, I had a medical student try to assess himself after a head injury. I told him that, on my pitch he was just a player and not a medical expert. He did not like it ( it was two...

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

In general terms there is little worse than a player playing the "I'm a ref" card during game. But YES this is a little different.

Very difficult for you to get involved. In that situation you...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

Agreed. And It may be needed, on some occasions, to call time early due to the conditions. I would include that fact in my report to the organiser. Pointing out the reason the gome had to to finish...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

Different context. The game is in play. You have dealt with the the offence and the player is now ignoring you authority during the game. Deal with the first issue , the one you stopped the watch...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

THe only time that can be wasted is playing time. If the game has not started neither has the clock! I accept in Oz when you are restricted for avaiable time for the game to be played, you have...

[Law] Re: Penalise teams late onto the field

All of our clubs are required to have a Referee Liaison Officer. In prctice many don't. A Parking spot should be provided. Why do clubs think it a good idea to put the ref's back up?

[Junior] Re: Knocked out but played on

The guidelines are "suspected" If you suspect the player is removed frmo the match. Players only get an assessment at the pro levels. If I see a player "Out" then they are off. It really is as...

Agree with all. I would be amazed if any region allowed such practices. This must be reported. Clubs etc allowing kids to play on after a knock to the head is a massive no no.
