Re: End of Game - Did I get it Right?

Back to the OP, if you had said time was up, or last play or whatever, what did Blue expect you to do when asked to stop for an injury? The restart for a stoppage like that is a scrum and that...

[Law] Re: Penalty Kick at Goal Rules

For me the clarification was about a place kick at goal. Hitting the post would suggest a valid PK attempt, and what happens after that if the ball goes into touch is that the kicking team do not...

    [Kit] Re: Neoprene lifting supports

I have never seen anything like this, but it looks to me that it is not soft, like a patch, so I would only be inclined to allow it if there was a letter from the manufacturer or medic who fitted it...

[Law] Re: Penalty Kick at Goal Rules

I think there was some clarification on this that said it was throw in to the non-kicking team on the basis that a failed PK that comes down in the field of play is play on, a failed PK that is...
  6. [Law] Re: Law changes that have TRULY benefited the grass roots game

There was a period where the law only required the showing of cards at international matches. There was thus some uncertainty about why a grass roots player left the field.

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

Marc, OK but a mark cannot be outside the 22, and gains ground whether it bounces or not. A mark is different from a FK at the moment as it has to be taken by the catcher.

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

There have been some studies that suggested ball in play time was just over 40 mins (for a whole game) so stopping the clock every time would make the game much longer. however I do wonder about...

    [Kit] Re: Neoprene lifting supports

For me it depends on whether they are compressible. If so, then OK, but if not - and these neoprene ones look like the block is quite firm - then no - and than includes bandaged on lifting supports -...

[Law] Re: Ben vs Lei - Red card (Jumper in the Air)

For me green did not have any idea that he might have been running into a blue player, so that was at best kind of careless. Not sure it met my standard for RC though as I thought he came down on...

[Tackle] Re: Russia vs Samoa - High Tackle Yellows

Both got three match bans - the hookers was held up by 24 hours, possibly as it had the additional issue of what 3 matches he was banned for as he is also serving one match off for a HIA.

    [Maul] Re: Maul Law 16.8 & 16.9

To the OP I would say that based on the description it appears the blue players dived off their feet over the ball, so a PK to red would probably be the appropriate sanction. However getting the...

  18. Re: Where the 2018 Law Book is actually different from 2017

It used to be the case that a penalty awarded to a defender was at the point of infringement, but the attackers were always on the 5m line, but this was changed some years ago (before the major...

[Law] Re: Hand Off or Fend to the face/head/neck

Covered in out pre-season. reminded that ball carrier has more leeway to fend than tackler, but ball carrier is not allowed to lead with elbow/forearm and if they do contact with head is RC

Re: 2 new laws for NRC at the end of August

I ratehr suspect they thought a 22 DO was too much of an advantage? However I wondered if they thought about changing who gets the put in to the scrum? ie 5m scrum defence
