Does this law apply? It is not clear , but I suspect it does.
It's a common misconception that the ball has to cross the 10m while still in the air. As you rightly say, that is not the case. Well done the referee (I hope he shouted "Play on" when it was clear...
The player is in touch. Jumping in the air does not change that, since he lands back in touch.
But the only way for B9 to play the ball is to go past B7 thereby putting himself onside.
(As long as B7 has the sense not to run back past the ball!)

St Augustine? Rare, I accept, but let's not pre-judge..
That is a false dichotomy. The law proscribes certain talk such as defamation, racism etc.
(Apart from the fact that Folau is not discussing - he is pontificating.)

Technically Blue 9 is "ahead" of Blue 7, and so offside. If Blue 7 turns round and runs away from the ball, he can put Blue 9 onside. Similarly if Blue 9 overtakes him to get to the...

A player juggling the ball is deemed to be in sufficient possession to justify tackling him for obvious practical reasons.
However he clearly does not have control. If he loses the ball forward...
When Blue 7 fumbles backwards, that sets the offside line. The ball is now on the safe side of that line, so any Blue player who gets to it must have got past the offside line and is therefore onside.
Try asking at tomorrow's meeting.

For me it is acceptance that you have lost control.
If, when juggling the ball, he loses control and the ball goes forwards I can see why it should be called a knock-on. However if while juggling he loses the ball backwards, I cannot see that as a...
1959 LawsIf the ball is not passed forward, but after alighting on the ground, it bounces forward, the pass is in order.
The point is so well established that the latest law book no longer bothers...
Game has just been called off due to waterlogged pitch.
It was only in 1992 that the right to make a Fair Catch from a knock-on or throw forward was removed from the Laws.
I had no idea that happened so late. I started playing in 1949 and do not...
The full mnemonic I learned was "When the sound is 'ee', I before E except after C."
That knocks out most (but not all) of your counter-examples.
50% + 60% = 110%. I like a dash of humour!
Ball carrier is held but slips out of the hold and then falls over. Has he been tackled?
Not in my book.
That means that if a player falls on the ball, you can tackle him. Not sure that is a good idea.
