[RWC] Re: Knock on inside a maul

Looked to me like he dropped it and it was caught and kept off the ground by the player in front and his own hand which is why I think the KO was decided on.

    Re: [RWC] Eng v NZ

But normally from a ko adv, being able to play without being under pressure is normally advantage gained.

    Re: Consult the captain?

Didds , for me, I take into account that YC if the team infringes again, but it depends on the next offence if it is a card. If I have warned a team, next pen here is yellow(I would not normally do...
  4. [Scrum] Re: Last Scrum and Tries Games RWC2019 Wales-France

But the only thing JP asked the TMO was if the rip by 21 was forward. I think it was but TMO and JP said not obviously so allowed the try.

    Re: Consult the captain?

From the description, what you did was fine. You had issued a warning and then escalated.

[RWC] Re: How are the RWC refs doing so far ?

That's always been "any reason not to award a try" for me.

    [Law] Re: Clock

In Scotland the SRU want us to record all yellow through Whos the Ref - the appointing software, and the details required are pretty much the same as a red (and as Arabchief records above) and so it...

[RWC] Re: How are the RWC refs doing so far ?

But he had by this rather strange change to the protocol that requires an on-field decision first. What is that about? Why not be able to say to the TMO, not really sure if that was try, can you...

[RWC] Re: How are the RWC refs doing so far ?

Perhaps, but Garces had asked to look at it, TMO said already done and not C&O forward. That should really have been then end of it, imo.

[RWC] Re: How are the RWC refs doing so far ?

I've not watched the Japan game yet, but for me I wondered about Garces and the diallowed try - having allowed the run in he asked the TMO about the forward pass. TMO said they had aready looked at...

    [Law] Re: Clock

For me it depends on what the card is for, but as it is almost always foul play, I stop the clock and use that as a time to allow tempers to cool, and to get the name, offence and time written down ...
  15. [Scrum] Re: Last Scrum and Tries Games RWC2019 Wales-France

But the inference of this is that the French S/H must have been offside?

Also it seems to me he was in the gap between the flanker and the no8 which we are toldis a no-go area for the s/h.

[Law] Re: NZL v IRE Penalty try and the "attempt to wrap"

They are offside by the fact they have their hands on the ground, although it is not clear how much weight they are supporting on their arms. This tends to get let go.

    Also the placing of their...
  17. [Law] Re: PK Shot at goal and arrival of kicking tee. What would you do ?

Smile, as Decorily says, then ask the skipper what he wants to do and make sure you add any lost time back.

Re: So, about this framework then...

For me it probably lacked the degree of dsnger for a red as they were bothheading in the same direction. But it could have been red.

Re: End of Game - Did I get it Right?

Back to the OP, if you had said time was up, or last play or whatever, what did Blue expect you to do when asked to stop for an injury? The restart for a stoppage like that is a scrum and that...

[Law] Re: Penalty Kick at Goal Rules

For me the clarification was about a place kick at goal. Hitting the post would suggest a valid PK attempt, and what happens after that if the ball goes into touch is that the kicking team do not...

    [Kit] Re: Neoprene lifting supports

I have never seen anything like this, but it looks to me that it is not soft, like a patch, so I would only be inclined to allow it if there was a letter from the manufacturer or medic who fitted it...

[Law] Re: Penalty Kick at Goal Rules

I think there was some clarification on this that said it was throw in to the non-kicking team on the basis that a failed PK that comes down in the field of play is play on, a failed PK that is...
  24. [Law] Re: Law changes that have TRULY benefited the grass roots game

There was a period where the law only required the showing of cards at international matches. There was thus some uncertainty about why a grass roots player left the field.

Re: Should the game clock be reset?

Marc, OK but a mark cannot be outside the 22, and gains ground whether it bounces or not. A mark is different from a FK at the moment as it has to be taken by the catcher.
