Yes, but that's another argument without any reference to the Law Book

Yes but WR don't. RWC are counted as neutral venues

[6N] Re: Eddie takes a pop at Nigel

He has referred a large number of games .. a 91%home win over a career would be astonishing. That can't be true

However if eddie is talking about 6N games then it is plausible .. esp as NO...

[6N] Eddie takes a pop at Nigel

    https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/england-boss-eddie-jones-appears-17623023

Is that right, then , 91% home wins ?

[Law] Re: Knock on into the dead ball area.

    I agree as well !

To restate .. in the example in the OP I would advise everyone to give a scrum. Out on the pitch tomorrow I would give a scrum

[Law] Re: Knock on into the dead ball area.

I think you are using legalistic arguments to avoid giving the defenders the advantage they want after the knock on (ie to play on, and touch down for a 22 , just as they would be able to do if the...

[CLUB RUGBY] Re: Saracens breaching salary cap, yet again.

At the end of the day tax and salary cap are different issues
You could easily be within the rules of one of those, and outside the rules of the other

But, yes, if you are cheating on one,...

[CLUB RUGBY] Re: Saracens breaching salary cap, yet again.

He says the *he himself * has never asked for it to be blocked.
I read into that that the previous regime blocked it.

[CLUB RUGBY] Re: Saracens breaching salary cap, yet again.

Itoje, or his comoany, presumably declared it as income and paid tax on it.
The HMRC definition of what is income is not the same as what counts towards the salary cap ..

[Law] Re: Knock on into the dead ball area.

Because there was s no way to gain advantage after a knock on in goal ?

[Law] Re: Place of Conversion kick

This was kind of what I had on Saturday .. the area from 5m to 7m was a very long strip of mud ... (Not the whole length of pitch though .. he could have moved about 10 or 15m back)

[Law] Re: Knock on into the dead ball area.

Indeed, you have hit the nub of it. How is advantage gained ?

How is territorial advantage gained (was there none, or was there too much?)

How is tactical advantage gained ? For instance did...

[Law] Re: Place of Conversion kick

In my OP scenario it wasn't too dangerous to kick. If it was that
dangerous , I would question why you are even playing on the pitch

It was just very muddy and slippy

    He could have moved (a...

    [Law] Re: Offside at scrum

    In practice I don't think I have ever seen a 9 retire back to 5m line ...

To the back foot, often, this allows them to cover both sides of the scrum. But I can't see why they'd really want to...

[Law] Re: Knock on into the dead ball area.

This is IMO in line with the Law Book. (see 12.11)
Nevertheless most refs will give a scrum

[Law] Re: Knock on into the dead ball area.

What will you do if the attackers kick the ball into the in goal, knock it on, and the defenders then touch down ?
