    Re: Knock on into touch

Scrum should have been where the knock on took place. If it was within the 5m channel, it should have been on the 5m.

Re: Where are you this weekend? 2014/15

Going nowhere tomorrow. Just lost my L9 appointment as the away team couldn't get a side out. No reappointments available at the moment :(

    Re: Scottish Rugby Union

Scots law, functioning as it does as part of a state, the UK, which is already an EU member, is already aligned with EU law. Accession problems of the type seen with the former eastern bloc...

    Re: Scottish Rugby Union

You think this is complicated? I've been doing some family tree research. My father's side is completely Scottish as far as I can tell. On my mother's side, her father was a Jones (Welsh name) but...

    Re: Scottish Rugby Union

What will stop them is the fact that the gratuitous stripping of citizenship is abhorrent to international law.

But of course it's much more complicated than that. How do you define British or...

    Re: Scottish Rugby Union

On what basis? A British passport remains a British passport. I can't see very many rushing to hand it in for a Scottish one if what you suggest is correct. In any event, the UK recognises dual...
  9. Re: RFU Head of Discipline appeals against on eof his own Panel's sentence decision !

I remember seeing this one when it first popped up on the north west leagues website and chatting about it at my club. We all said at first "that's a long time" but after thinking about it for no...

Re: Toulouse v Castres: your decision?

Based on that description, I would have thought the Toulouse support runner was offside.

Sorry Browner, I meant 2007. He's now at Lymm, current or ex-captain, not sure.

    Re: Perception concern

This apparently led to a 5.12 against the club, resulting in a caution. Dates back to 1997, so old news if you can call it that. Nice club to visit as a ref.

Re: Waterloo RUFC - What Union?

There are Constituent Bodies (CB's) that clubs are affiliated to. In very general terms (with some exceptions) if you are in Lancashire for example, you are affiliated to Lancashire RFU which is a...

    Re: Stud configuration

There will still remain the ambiguity about a sole configured with two studs at the front (the usual arrangement) where there is one stud missing.

Re: 2 Reds and one very upset set of spectators

Green player says clearly to me, "Why should I listen to what you have to say, you're just going to (expletive deleted) send me off."

I'd be happy to make good the green player's self-fulfilling...

Re: ELRA 1 and 2 completed - what next?

It was a young offenders' institute so the team comprised 18 to 21 year olds - very fast lads but technically not so great as they only have a limited time to learn the game before they are either...

Re: ELRA 1 and 2 completed - what next?

It's been a good couple of years. Completed my ELRA3 this season with the society after a season and a half as a clubs' association ref. Waiting for the annual regrading to see if I'm moved up to...

My understanding is that the fend off is prohibited at U12 and below although I can't find the appropriate regulations. I certainly know that the little devils do like to try this 'new' (to them)...

That wasn't an STE argument, it was about injury. Thompson said he couldn't move from flanker to the front row because he was recovering from a neck injury which prevented him from playing hooker...
