    Re: YC return

You're the only one that knows the time on the bin, wait until the conversion is taken and then call him back on, problem solved!

    Re: SmartPower Profiler stud set

Sorry to dig this one up from so long ago, but allegedly WR were going to release a statement on these studs, has anyone ever seen it?

I see these doing the rounds again on Twitter, but think...

[7's/10's] Re: What’s everyone doing over the break?

    Moving house!

Couple of 7's tournaments (as a break from decorating etc.)
  5. [Tackle] Re: No-tackle. Can offside lines be estabilshed by being over the ball ?

For me there is no tackle, but as others have said might have been "brought to ground" before the video starts, that said that ball is out of the "ruck". It's beyond the "hind most point", play on!

    Re: Soccer ref microphone

The Daily Mail readers would go into melt down if footy refs got mics, can you imagine the editing they'd have to do, delay on the comms etc. The players are bigger than the game, they've made their...

    Re: IRE-FRA - double movement?

Technically he's brought to ground, but kind of rides the tackle, so most would give it, but the issue is that as i said, if that had been mid-field (i.e. not going for a try), ref and players would...

[Tackle] Re: Making a tackle when on knees

To be fair, he slips and yes he's on his knees, but not sure many would call it an "illegal" tackle

    Re: IRE-FRA - double movement?

If Best had been in mid-field and held by Fra players, they would have been screaming "tackle, they've got to release"!

    Try play on!

Re: Where are you this weekend? 2018/19

Friday night, AR for what is known as the biggest local derby at L6 in the county, will expect 1500+ spectators, :chin: wonder if there will be any beers consumed?

    Sat - exchange to...

[Law] Re: Quiz #7 tackle in goal

So if a ball is kicked into goal and a player slides to ground it (attacker or defender) you're going to penalise them for playing the ball while off their feet :chin:

    You've heard me ref

But they still allow players to hold them in there
  14. [Tackle] Re: Tackle Release close to goal line. Help please.

If the ball carrier is on the floor (not the ball) they are out of the game!

[Tackle] Re: What do you give?

Sometimes, but when you see players blatantly holding them in isn't very difficult to tell. Maybe at our level they're just shit at stopping them from rolling away?
  16. [Tackle] Re: Tackle Release close to goal line. Help please.

agree turnover scrum, but it's the ball carrier that has to release!

[Tackle] Re: What do you give?

    Interesting :chin:

From the 3 instances I've identified in last couple of matches. In all cases I've blown quickly and given an attacking scrum. I will not allow them to "buy a penalty" and tell...
  18. [Tackle] Re: Tackle Release close to goal line. Help please.

First question to ask yourself is, do we have a tackle or a maul?

if it's just the ball carrier and a number of defenders and the ball carrier gets their knee to the ground, then as much as i hate...

    [Tackle] What do you give?

I've noticed this a lot in recent weeks, not sure why it's becoming more common?

Ball carrier is tackled, tackler and ball carrier on the floor. Now either the ball carrier or the first arriving...

  21. [Law] Re: How long before kick off should one arrive at the club ?

If i'm travelling over an hour then i aim to be there 1hr30mins before KO for L6+7 for 8 maybe a bit later, allows for traffic issues, if i get through with no issues, there's time for a coffee and a...

Benefit of the doubt first time, he's in a legal position playing the ball, but as I've said, in future i want to see a positive action to win the ball

[Ruck] Re: Won the Jackle but not using the ball

Richie Mc made a career out of doing this, in some cases they don't want the ball they just want the PK  I give them the PK first time, but tell them that i want to see a positive action to...

So ball gets to the ground a player on the defending side thinking if that comes out it's play on, dives on the ball and prevents it coming out, what do you give?
