Re: accidentally taking a free kick

For me it is play on and would be the same in rugby of either code. Tough if you don't know the laws.

    Re: cross code "test"

I wonder which half would have more kicking?
I watch both codes and it seems at least 50% of RL tries are scored from kicks :-)
Is that not kick and clap ;-)

[Law] Re: Lifters lift a teammate to block a PK

It is banned by law but I don't see any difference to this and lifting to catch kick offs and restarts.
Basically that is creating an unfair contest and should also be banned.

  6. Re: Crowds to return for opening round of Super Rugby Aotearoa

I understand sports selling out to pay per view but for me it always has a detrimental effect on crowds and interest in the general game.

    Re: Super rugby law trials

    My 2 penneth
    1. I like it. Law makers obviously trying to get rid of top level scrums which kill the game as a spectical. not too much of a problem in the weeds

    2. Disagree with this. We have the...
  8. [Law] Re: World Rugby approves law trials to reduce coronavirus risk

Love the Idea that you guys think that clubs will provide lockers for individuals. Have you never heard of the "Valuables bag" in your neck of the woods? Many clubs don't even have changing rooms...

[Line out] Re: new boy questions round 3

your assumption on 18.11 18 is correct.
When you see 2 from each team at the line, call Line is formed then they can't throw a quick one.
Remember if a kick chaser runs up to the line of touch and...

[Line out] Re: new boy questions round 3

Assistant referees! I'm lucky if I get them once a season.
Personally I mark the defending Line for 2 reasons.
    1. Attacking teams are unlikely to want to close the gap themselves so they can set...

Don't worry about failing the exam Andrew, most of the players don't know this obscure laws anyway. Blow your whistle, make a confident decision and crack on:hap:

  13. [Line out] Re: At what point can a player leave a lineout to be passed to by the scrum half?

I think the initial question inferred that as the ball is thrown, the tail gunner in the lineout, drops back immediately lets say parallel to the 9 and still inside the 15M line before the 9 has...
  14. Re: England Rugby Final League Positions 2019/20

Correct. I think the initial question was pretty clear.
  16. Re: Enforcement of current law - refereeing at the breakdown March 2020

mmm.at least they've used some good video clips.
Do we honestly believe the top flight are going to enforce these like the do with not straight at lineouts and scrums!!

    [Tackle] Re: YC/RD

good advice from Crossreff but it is never 2 yellow cards for one offence. Of course if you give the yellow then the player gives you verbals which warrant a second yellow, that would be ok.

6 nations on pay per view?

Rumours again of selling out to the highest bidder.
