    Default Biggest Weight Loss?

Well the NH season has (sort of) started therefore I'm submitting the following figures for consdieration (hopefully to be the winner!)

    Date:30 Aug
    Start: 102.1kg (11 April) Weight (11 Jan 114)
    Last weigh in (9 August ) 97.9KG
    Current: 95.2
    Loss/Gain: 2.7 Loss % to date: 6.9KG(6.7% or 16.49% from Jan 2011 at my heaviest at 114!)

So can anyone beat 16.49% (really 6.7%) to claim the crown?

    No. I can't.

I gave up when I hurt my back at the beginning of July - I only got running properly a few weeks ago. I have manged to keep the 7-8lb I lost off so that's good.

    Well done fatty!

    Date: 7 August
    Start: 111.7kg (11 April)
Last weigh in (7 Aug) 103.1kg
    Current: 103.5kg
    Loss/Gain this week (3+ weeks actually): +0.4kg
    kg loss to date: 8.3
    Loss % to date: 7.43%

    Pros:
Back out on the field refereeing and pretty much keeping up with play (massive pro).
Golf swing is coming back (now to just get the ball to go straight).
Obviously feel much better and using holes in belt that have not been used before.
Motivated to keep working on weight loss and fitness (huge thankyou to Toby).

    Cons:
Didn't acheive goal of getting under the century by finish date.
Have picked up an injury that is slowing my progress and therefore put on 0.3kg due to not being able to fully train. Should be back at it within a week.

End of our season down here. You NH boys should continue to drop the kilos through match fitness. Good luck guys. It will be interesting to see how your results go as your season progresses.
Thanks Toby. Will PM you in the coming days. Cheers.

Well done The (no longer as) Fat.

Keep going I managed most of my weight loss over the off season, so just find a form of exercise that you enjoy and work bloody hard - it's easy really!

Do you guys lose weight by eating less of what you enjoy OR plunge into a healthy eating diet right away and hope you can fight the craving for the rest of your life?

No fancy eating plan. Just cutting down on portion size and try to cut out the really bad stuff. Still have a pie and beer at the footy etc.
Upping the exercise levels as well.

During the off-season I plunge into a pretty strict diet (lots of high protien meals with low carbs) and generally cut out the booze and will be in the gym doing weights 4-5 times a week plus 2-3 runs/rides/swims and will play touch rugby during the week. It's hard to fight the craving but when you look at the results in a mirror or an old photo it's really worth it.

Mrs Chopper puts less food on a smaller plate for me.

You up the exercise level when you're 'comfortable' with your weight, of course. I mention it as many of the runners and joggers who pass me out for my early morning stroll with the dog look far from comfortable with the weight they carry.

They obviously think that exercising to lose weight is more beneficial that eating less of what you enjoy. . . . at the outset of their intended regimen that is. These are the ones who probably give up.

I always get a laugh when I see someone running or jogging and they are pulling a face like someone trying to push out a square poo.
