Proud member since Jan '04.Congratulations Robbie. Lang mae yer lum reek.

Congrats. Any chance of publishing the first threads - guess it's forward passes and leggings.
Keep up the good work - it's appreciated.

Well done Rob.
What did you do for 3 weeks before ST joined?
Keep up the good work.
I do get a lot out of this site (despite appearances) and being one of those referees with neither coach nor prospect of one, I do value the work you, the other mods and members do.
I think I am a better referee for this site.
Here's to the next 8 years.![]()

This is interesting. These are probably the highest-used forums for rugby referees on the internet, based on the free-to-subscribe nature and the lack of adverts. The IRB trainer stuff is dismally populated, and anything with a paywall would prevent most folks from bothering to subscribe. I understand that some societies are probably averse to hosting forums that could turn into nasty swill, but the fact that this isnt associated with any referee society or Union was probably a blessing in disguise.created...after a request by Robert Burns to add forums to the London Society Website was turned down.
I'd also like to think it's one with a high level of decorum despite the efforts of our antipodean members to ruin the place!
I'm also sure that there are lurkers on here that spit out their claret at the stuff that we post! Motherf**kin' Leggings 'n "Tramlines" (which, by the way, made it into an IRB 7s referee manual. *grumble grumble*).
Keep on rockin' in the free world!

"The world's greatest referees are great game managers. They have that unique ability to dynamically analyse any game situation they are faced with, anticipate problems that might occur, formulate effective pre-emptive solutions to these problems, and move swiftly to put these solutions into effect to allow the game to run smoothly for all concerned. However, as any referee will tell you, when you are up to your ass in crocodiles, it can be difficult remind yourself that what you were trying to do was to drain the swamp!"
For the record I think my swearing adds character to my posts. Or at least brings out allows my fun-loving nature.
Of course I had to look that one up; I live in Texas now. Here's the Texas Word of the Day: Obama.
e.g. I wint to the star to pih-cup a twel'packa beer and drank it Obama self.
Rob, Many thanks for your efforts, a fantastic resource
