    a DNS issue?

    Not sure how someone hacking the site could change the DNS resolution of www.rugbyrefs.com. Though i see the nameservers for the domain are ns1.rugbyrefs.com and ns2.rugbyrefs.com which is on the same subnet as www.rugbyrefs.com (in fact ns1 and www are the same IP) so I presume thety are all hosted togeher. So some other kind of breach could have made them, vulnerable.

    Or somebody at the hosting company stuffed up of course.

    80% of security breaches are internal (allegedly).

    Yes, kidding.

    And Didds, Hosting company has found that one of their guys rebooted our server although they can't link it, they have apologised. So seems like the system is safe just a human error.
