Default Sco v Wal - penalty count!

Glen Jackson gives 30? PKs and the YCs don't come out other than for the playing the player in the air x2.

Also restart after the try plus conversion at the end?

    Exciting game though!

    Default Scotland vs Wales Questionss,

    Hi

First question, why no card and/or a penalty try for the high tackle by the Welsh 9 on the Scotish player if he gets by the 9 hes clean through.

Also they had commited a large number of offences at the break down including close to the line.

Second question, all those penalties at the end with no Yellow cards, even allowing for Scotland going quickly someone needs to go to the bin.

Then why no time off during the fight, and review of what started it.

Then I suspect the time issue is wrong, the kick was over before the end of the match then you must restart.

I'm usually very sympathetic to refs but that was one of the worst performances I've seen for a long time

    - Real question marks over time-keeping at the end as well as failure to deal with the melee
    - Seemed to miss a Scottish kicker being obstructed as he kicked the ball through
    - Multiple infringements in red zone for both teams without YC
    - Welsh player chucked ball away to waste time after PK in second half without being penalised
    - Inconsistent standards for going to TMO
    - Seemed to lack composure throughout

On the full time issue, I don't like the siren used in Southern Hemisphere competitions, but it avoids the ambiguity here.

I'm not sure why the law couldn't be that if a try is scored within normal time, the game restarts even if time expires before the conversion is taken, nor why competition rules don't require large visible clocks controlled by the TMO.

Was Hogg gobbling off at Glen Jackson after he (Hogg) felt he had been taken out after a kick through?

    Petulant tit!

To be fair, he was taken out - one of a number of dreadful decisions.

No PT as there was cover behind Webb although based on what I saw I doubt GJ noticed.

Even Jiffy was arguing for Yellow Cards against Wales.

Should Webb's try have been disallowed for obstruction? As Guscott said, the "supporting" player was running a line in front of Webb. My immediate reaction was obstruction, which was presumably the view of the Scot who tackled him - making the point to the referee?
He trudg’d along unknowing what he sought,
And whistled as he went, for want of thought.
