L12 Horden and Peterlee 3 vs Seaton Carew 2 - Both a place apart in the bottom half of a social league. Was hoping to have an assessor today but not to be, was assigned one last week but game called off. Only been assessed once in this my first year so keen to know where progressing and what bad habits to knock on the head.

I have the pleasure of Chorley 1s v Rossendale 3s on the Saturday - L10 match that means nothing, followed by Vale of Lune U18s v Newcastle U Lyne U18s as a L9 on the Sunday...

Running the line at Wigton, miked up for Cumbria Plate Final L8 Upper Eden v Whitehaven. The two stand out teams in the league this year so should be a really good game

L10 Darlington 2s vs Novocastrians 3 - Both new teams to me, and a slightly higher level than normal, hoping for a good end to the season

Got the pleasure of Lancaster University Ladies 2 v York Uni Ladies 2s on the Saturday - L12 and then the equivalent first team fixture on the Sunday. Going to be fun reffing in a 2.5k capacity stadium!

League results suggest York should walk both games but who knows!?

    Staffordshire Cups on Sunday.
Three Cup Finals in one day. I feel very privileged to have been chosen to referee one of them.
Coach loads of supporters coming in from the six clubs involved so should be a fun filled day.

Nearly all the teams in Staffordshire get a cup then?

Well and excellent cup final last week Upper Eden 15 v 20 Whitehaven after extra time.
This Sunday last match of the season Vickers Vets v Edge Hill university vets in memory of my good friend Dan Logan who sadly died 15 years ago very suddenly of Testicular Cancer. Dan's Alumni have got back together for this special occasion. Should be a poignant yet enjoyable day.
