    No game this weekend.

Off to stand in the rain at Doncaster Racecourse and handover my money to Messrs'. Guinness, Hill and Tote.

Talk of a L7 re-appointment weekend after next - a real L7 in Yorkshire as well - more news next week.

Weekend off for me, off to Brugge for the weekend with the boss. Good game last week 15-44 and northern rail played ball so I could have a few beers.
Feel a bit guilty as our appointments secretary has 15 games in the county this week and initially 6 refs available!!!
    How are other society's fairing?

I've got two games this week,

Friday night - Northampton Old Scouts -v- Old Northamptonians (a real local derby as the clubs are about 1 mile apart)

Saturday afternoon - Huntingdon -v- Bedford Athletic

Apparently East Mids were let down by another society who's referee was appointed to the Saturday match. I'm sure the legs will be fine this early in the season

    This weekend as predicted..

    Yorkshire 1 - L7

    Wheatley Hills v Middlesbrough

WH relegated from NE1 last year and Boro' into Y1 from D&N 1 (level transfer to balance up the leagues). Both play in claret and gold so hopefully someone's made the phone call.

Waysiders/Drumpelier vs Lenzie in West 2. First time I've refereed my home town team.

Waysiders share a ground with the local cricket club, no officials changing room so you get changed in the Committee Room just off the bar. Always interesting walking through the bar in a towel after a shower.....
