    Default O Keefe and Farrell

    Interesting article in the Telegraph about Farrell influencing BOK
    (You have to register to read it but you don't have to pay , once registered you get two articles a week or something like that )

    One thing I thought is that it raises again the question of why pick a player as captain who is substituted off in the crucial last twenty minutes.
    Farrell should be captain all through , to establish and maintain that relationship with the referee .. especially if he is good at it

    From what I've seen of Farrell's interactions with referees (so only what you get from TV) I think he would really get my back up and not make me want to engage with him. He comes across as petulant and whiny - again only based off TV, maybe he's much better in person. Hartley appears to have grown up well on this front - much less combative versus the referee.

    Yes that was in 2012-2013 season so over four years ago.
    He doesn't seem anywhere near as hot headed now and appears to be able to create a better relationship, from what I can observe from a distance. Hence why I say he has grown up well. He is much better than he used to be.

    He's a great asset for England, urgent in defence, he's never let us down whilst playing for us.
