    Default Well done Australia!

Terrific weekend in Sydney 7s taking both men's & women's gold.

The women blanked Russia then NZ in the final. The men blanked Argentina then SA in their final.

If my math is correct the combined scores for both genders over the semis & finals is 119 to 0. That's zero, zip, squat.

I can't remember domination of that magnitude, even in 7s.

    Yes, it's only 7s . . . but it sure beats endless 'pick 'n go's.

The future is bright for Sevens. Cracking tournament
Sevens is everything we enjoy about the running game, without the cynicism that is creeping into the professional game of XV. Rugby Union, needs to sort out quite a few issues, like crooked put-ins, the dark arts of the front row, folks getting their retaliation in first, those endless pick ‘n go, collapsing mauls, and, and, and...

Might not be Sydney (Allianz stadium is being rebuilt) and might not be 3 days. Time will tell

My only complaint was restriction of WRs live streaming. Not available in the US and therugbychannel was tape delayed several hours. The US got run over by SA then Argentina so I haven't watched it yet.

Sevens - Videos (not available in France, maybe you will have more luck)
Ireland pipped USA for seventh place

USA men finished fourth after getting past Fiji into the semi's.

USA women are struggling but I really don't know why. Russia is ascending.

I have a theory that women's rugby would be better & less error-prone if the ball was a little smaller. Physiology and all that.
