There is no record of the first leg being played - it would have been on October 20th.
However, it is a funny league more about providing players game time than anything else. Teams cancel matches if they have other commitments, I know Cambridge cancelled a match because it clashed with the Town v Gown fixture.

I did see on the RFU site that the match is scheduled for Saturday both at Ampthill and also at Cinderford.

Speaking with guys on Saturday it was 'cancelled/postponed' early doors and the Saturday fixture was a "Double Header" .

This week it is back to East Mids 1 action and

Kettering (Second in the League) -v- Oundle (3rd in the League)

Should be a nice fast paced game with a bit of an edge as last time out Kettering lost 3-7!

Could be a really good game.

Great game of rugby but a bit of a damp squib score wise at 41-0
The score really didn't reflect the game which all the spectators and my assessor thoroughly enjoyed.

The assessor said I was by far the best referee he has seen all season.....I don't think he gets out much!

Ironically there were 3 referees at Norton (Sheffield Uni's sports ground) of which I was the highest graded with the lowest level game. Anyway I refereed on what I was told was a 4G pitch. I got tripped and fell over but broke my fall with my hands - bloody hell it hurt. The players knees were a right mess. I thought all this 4G bollocks had moved on from the old "Astroturf" days. I can only assume these RFU funded jobs are better than this. There'll be rubber crumbs falling out my boots and socks (and arse crack) for weeks to come.

There's an RFU funded pitch in Y1 (Keighley) and one in Y2 (Yarnbury) but I've not refereed on either.

The pitch at the Uni was sea of alternative lining - Rugby (white) Football (yellow), American football (black), Hockey (red) something else that was blue. Quite useful as you can't make a mark in it!

Well this weekend I shall be kicking my heels on the sick bench STILL. I injured my knee back in September and haven't reffed this season.

I'm still waiting on a diagnosis and treatment.

After 2 postponements. This weekend for the third time of asking:-

    Yorkshire 2 - L8

    Wath-upon-Dearne v Goole

Goole still top although having only lost once up to Christmas have now lost their last 2. Wath safe in 4th and not threatening top 3.
