Default English refs on world stage

I was wondering why JP Doyle hasn't had an international game for a long time? Noticed he rarely gets international middles anymore when I thought he had a very good WC in 2015 and gets good appointments in European club competitions.

    Hullo,
Robbie did an an article on JP Doyle some time back (2015)
Just because he refs for the RFU doesn’t make hime an English referee, the man is Irish born and breed.

There are a number of English refs in the running for RWC match official spots next year.
    Luke Pearce
    Wayne Barnes
    Matthew Carley

    Newbies on the International scene.
    Karl Dickson
    Craig Maxwell-Keys
    Tom Foley

Why though - did he have a particularly bad game? All the international games I saw he performed very well.

I understand he didn't see eye to eye with WR but, honestly, know nothing more than that

The RFU clearly still value him .. he gets lots of top Premiership games.

(I think he is a great ref )
