Which is a rather low bar. Anything that causes offence (to anyone ?) is a breach of code of conduct?

By which you mean, of course, an interesting article. Do you lot not have the «*start a new thread*» button, or something ?

?? But It's an article about IF and how RA handled the case.
    That is the topic

And the OP was about, Nigel Owens chatting about random stuff in Dublin. How hard is it to start a different discussion about IF and all the other entirely uninteresting stuff?

For what it is worth I will support a campaign for demanding that the Canterbury Crusaders change their name, once the RFU have banned any and all English supporters from wearing the St George’s Cross to Rugby Union Matches in Twickenham. Which hopefully will be never.

American crusades have been exclusively metaphoric, and nearly always, from Jefferson’s day to the present, they have carried positive connotations

For more than 200 years, crusade has served English speakers as a useful word to signify any kind of zealous support or opposition carried on in the name of the public good
Metaphorical usage appears to be well-established.

Sure but do you have examples of any groups nowadays who claim to be crusading , who aren't religiously based?

My point is it's a word that is always linked to crusades

    .

It's all on the topic of inclusive rugby .. But if it's suddenly important to separate the strands the mods could always split the thread ?

Its true that, in general, the forums could do with more thread gardening (splitting , merging) that would be a good thing if done wisely

I've heard an interesting rumour from a couple of different sources that IF's case is being supported by a very wealthy person with an interest in rugby, and an even bigger interest in RA going broke

Ah yes. The way to ensure that rugby is diverse and inclusive. Are there many Asian minority kids playing rugby in England?
