We already know their stance - they've said he isn't welcome.

That is not what the article indicates. I don't know who Pandaram is, but he has indicated teams are interested. NRL will permit him back if he deletes post. So it isn't exactly unwelcome.

I think Rugby Australia would have let him stay, had he deleted his post ..

I saw a report where he was going to take it down but his father told him it would be a betrayal if he did so he left it up.
ARU did not sack him for his religious beliefs, as his lawyers seem to be suggesting.

Folau's brother has walked away from the Tahs now as well. Perhaps that's a good thing - at least it pre-empts any possibility that he will follow his brother's bigoted lead and have to be fired.

    Also, there is this...
"After we'd all talked, I told Raelene if she felt the situation had become untenable – that I was hurting Rugby Australia, its sponsors and the Australian rugby community to such a degree that things couldn't be worked through – I would walk away from my contract, immediately"
    - Israel Folau

I am having a hard time reconciling this statement he made with what he is doing now. A good, practising Christian would never go back on his word, but he is doing precisely that. Does he not understand that by doing what he has done, and what he is doing now, he has made himself into a liar? According to his own religious standards, that means he is destined for hell.

If he really does go all the way to court, that statement is sure to come back and bite him in the arse.

He's making a stand. Either for money, or principle, or both. My bet is the former as I'm not what other skills he has that would pay him enough.

Enough is enough, frankly. Bigotry has no place in Society, or in the game, no matter the reason. He says he can say that because he's Christian - that isn't a good enough excuse.

Bigotry is bigotry. Simple as that. Freedom of speech is NOT absolute, and we should stop kidding on that it is. Christianity is about as good an excuse for being a weapon grades **** as "I live in Virginia" - that is, no excuse.

Folau has no room in the game. If you think he should be in the game, you support his bigotry.
