For future reference with future company, you might want to make that marriage part the first mention of what you are doing over break. Just sayin

I hope she likes rugby! (My wife doesn't, but we have managed OK for 53 years now ...)
He trudg’d along unknowing what he sought,
And whistled as he went, for want of thought.

Just wanted to come back to this.

Biggest 10s tournament in the world, the organisation was amazing. I think there were about 190 or so teams playing over two days. About 28 referees from World Cup level down to.....me Three party nights that went on to 3am, with everyone back to play rugby at 9am the next morning.

If you know of teams looking for a summer tournament then this is THE ONE to go to. I can't praise it enough. Dendermonde Rugby Club were the most amazing hosts. They are on facebook under Flanders Open Rugby or Dendermonde Rugby, and some videos of the party on my facebook (search Phil Everitt).

Fantastic spirit of rugby with everyone smiling for the whole weekend. The standard of rugby was wide with a Beer league and a top league (some NZ Internationals in that), there was also a large ladies tournament and for the first time a mixed ability rugby league. Teams from all over the world and the final saw the referee (Karl Dixon) flown into the middle of the pitch by helicopter with the match ball. Made loads of new friends, met up with some old ones, drank too much, danced too much, lost my voice from singing and came back with loads of stash

As yet to be decided wrt my "future". Could be a natural end of the line - I'm 57 at the start of next season, and Ive coached older youth squads for the past several years. I'll be FOUR times their age - I'm not convinced the players can or should equate to a coach that is older than their grandparents :-) The AG Ive coached for the past couple of seasons as a technical coach are moving to colts and the club has an excellent new colts/academy setup being introduced (fantastic idea, I'm totally on board with the concept) with an overall head coach of it etc. So it seems a logical time to step aside. That said if I'm needed I'm happy to help - but it seems logical timing.
