Joe Schmidt knows how you feel, with a 57-15 defeat to England.

It is starting to feel like 2007 all over again. But still some people are insisting this is some sort of master plan by Schmidt to avoid raising expectations.

Scotland in Yokohama is now looking very tight, I'm not hopeful that Ireland can get past the quarters.

Arrow Re: RWC Japan 2019 - Predictions

Joe Schmidt looked none to happy with the (under) performance. No way it was some mind game to mislead the opposition. Flat, slow and inaccurate is how he described their performance.

Elsewhere, New Zealand have named their 31 man squad.

    New Zealand World Cup squad
Forwards: Dane Coles, Liam Coltman, Codie Taylor, Nepo Laulala, Joe Moody, Atu Moli, Angus Ta'avao, Ofa Tuungafasi, Scott Barrett, Brodie Retallick, Patrick Tuipulotu, Sam Whitelock, Sam Cane, Luke Jacobson, Kieran Read (capt), Ardie Savea, Matt Todd.

Backs: TJ Perenara, Aaron Smith, Brad Weber, Beauden Barrett, Richie Mo'unga, Ryan Crotty, Jack Goodhue, Anton Lienert-Brown, Sonny Bill Williams, Jordie Barrett, George Bridge, Rieko Ioane, Sevu Reece, Ben Smith.
I can’t help thinking Joe Schmidt would have been far better off naming the squad early, removing the uncertainty for players on the fringes.

If they were to fall to a shock defeat to the hosts, they might not even get out of the pool stage.

Not sure England should read too much into their victory last week. Also their next game against Italy won’t tell them much about their level. Italy are way off the pace, judging by the result in Paris.
