Did two local grammar schools 1st XV yesterday, Slough 2's on Saturday vs Tadley. Two very different games each with their own challenges.

Bit of a last minute one for me. I'm reffing in a Ladies tournament in Dundee (Scotland) on Sunday.
...plus Steve Hillage at Sheffield on Monday. Again.

Game has just been called off due to waterlogged pitch.
He trudg’d along unknowing what he sought,
And whistled as he went, for want of thought.

God, coaching a referee after a 97-8 game is not a great experience.

He fun with your freinds in the North. Hopefuly none of them will try to influence your decisions using "advanced public relations techniques"
Had an interesting chat with a coach about players talking to me. He didn't understand my point that every time a player talks me he is trying to influence me, one of the reasons sometimes I won't talk to players (he though I should always listen to players and captains talking to me). Seemed to miss my point that if he is not trying to influence me then why is he talking to me?
