Seemed to miss my point that if he is not trying to influence me then why is he talking to me?
I'm obviously missing some prior comments on this but I certainly don't believe that every time a player talks to me that they are trying to influence me.
Surely players often seek clarification on why they were penalised etc so that they can better understand your interpretation etc and improve their chances of complying and therefore better their game!

It depends upon the manner in which they are speaking with you. You could always pre-empt this with an explanation at the time you aware the PK.

For me, this week's appointment is:

    Ampthill 2s -v- Cinderford 2s

Should be a nice open flowing match, weather permitting!

I would hope that after I've said "Blue 7, in at the side" they've had all the explanation they need.

Was a weekend off but now have my sons's U13 game on Sunday and a rescheduled DN2 (Level 8) tomorrow night - Darlington vs Hartlepool - although my notification has that as black shirts vs black shirts so someone can get that fixed!

Youth league game Saturday and on Sunday an U12s game. Should find out whether or not the Calf tear is repaired. 10 days should do it!

Youth game was moved to 3G pitch so a great test of the calf. So far, so good.

No appointments for me this weekend, I will be playing on Saturday @Howe of Fife and on Sunday, I'll have my coaching whistle for some Midi players.

My second 2e klasse match this weekend, Amstelveen 2 - Zwolle.

The #1 playing against the #2, and an assessor on the sideline.
