    So there is an anomaly
    .. defender tackled in Tig = 22m
    .. defender held up = 5m scrum

    But the latter is so rare it's not worth worrying about

    Do you mean a difference? I don't see it as an anomaly.

    you could make an argument that scrum is to team last moving forward but if the defender has dicked around so long that he ends up being held up, then I'm going with the 21.17 crew.

    Interestingly, if this did happen, I could picture the attacking team trying to force the defender over DBL or TiG ... which wouldn't be to their advantage.
