I read that article also. I believe that Coach Cheikha (sp) has switched codes and there also.

Ian, you've basically claimed that IF reached the threshold of a hate crime after you quoted the act (not the currently enacted version including the most recent amendment Did you read the "intentionally or recklessly threatens or incites
violence towards another person or a group of persons " bit? Where in the tweet did he incite or threaten violence against any of those groups? If you think that being told you will go to hell as being a threat of violence then you might need to get out more.

Your claims that his comments incited the behaviour that you linked to is wrong - the angry responses were allegedly caused by IF not being selecting him based on his comments, not by IF's comments.

Do you think this is a consequence to Israel's rant? like kinda a result of free speech?

Go ask a gay Christian teenage rugby player if he felt threatened and intimidated by Folau's bigoted rant.

I have..... and he did! Invoking eternal damnation to a devout Christian is the ultimate form of violent threat.

I see it as appeasement and the assuaging of guilty consciences. Its a result of pressure put on them because they know they ****ed up.

This kind of gesture is only a noble one if you make it without being forced. In this case, what they are doing is like a naughty schoolchild being forced to apologise under threat of punishment.

So you could say, "Every gay Christian teenage rugby player I asked felt intimidated by Folau's bigoted rant." or "100 percent of the gay Christian teenage rugby players I asked felt intimidated by Folau's rant."

Additionally, I noticed that you capitalized Christian. Good job crossing your t's, dotting your i's, and capitalizing you religions so as not to offend.

The rant came from IF. The "ultimate" form would probably be from God or JC incarnate. Then maybe from IF. The Pope in fourth place.

Kinda hard to do Lots of criteria to meet. 1. gay, 2. Christian, 3. teenage, 4. rugby, 5. I have to find if they are familiar with rant., 6. If not, I have to explain it 7. without looking like a creep.

I know your post was meant for Jared, but kinda the strawman approach on your part. Jared's argument was that "intentionally and recklessly incites violence" was not evident. Your interview of the said player only discovered feelings.

    Cheeky aren't you!?

It was nothing to do with "not offending", it was to do with what I was taught as correct grammar. The name of religions are proper nouns and ought to be capitalized, so Christianity, Buddhism, Islam & Judaism are all capitalised.... but you already knew that, didn't you?.

I guess you are American so perhaps you weren't taught correct English at school.
