    Default Cleaning some eye boogers

That's the best description I've heard for the attached image. Haven't seen the full replay, but this happened a couple of minutes after Schoeman came back on after a forearm to the head of Simmons.

Footage looks less incriminating, but given the couple of strikes to the head/neck area which saw the yellow card issued, surely we are going to see a suspension come out of these couple of interactions.

I know most of you can't see foxsports aus, but here is a link to the two clips.

As you allude to...a still image is pretty much meaningless in this/most case!!

    I can't see the video.

A series of shots from another location - for those who can't see the video:

The last one is pretty incriminating, bent fingers, on the eyes & pulling back

Im not convinced that the last phot definitely shows eyes in the socket and pulling backwards - Im not even sure if de4finitely shows contact as opposed to a hand somewhere very close to the area.

Its s stupid situation to put oneself in if it IS innocent etc !!!

Yes, that’s a red card. There’s absolutely no good reason for his hands to go there. Acts like this can do serious damage to people’s vision, and must be eradicated from the game.

Watching the Actual footage, his hand does little more than brush across the face. It looks awful on still frames - but nowhere near as bad in the video footage- more like him bracing against the player, realising it’s his face and moving his hand quickly away...that’s not to say it wasn’t intentional, but nowhere near as bad as that still makes it look.

Disagree. Contact may well be brief, but that doesn’t make it any less of an offence. It only takes a small scratch or pressure in the wrong place to permanently damage someone’s sight. Red is responsible for the location of his own hands; intent is irrelevant.
