It is still too early for us. My school boys don`t start playing games for another 5 weeks or so. Rugby Quebec doesn`t start until early May. The provincial government has closed all schools, colleges and universities, so I now have an unscheduled two week break.

community rugby still going ahead. I'm reffing in 2 hours.

Super rugby, I think, will be empty stands.

The NZ government has imposed travel restrictions to NZ.

    From Prime Minster Ardern's statement....

"As of midnight Sunday every person entering New Zealand, including returning New Zealand citizens and residents, will be required to enter self-isolation for 14 days. Everybody.

The Pacific are exempted from this measure, though anyone from these countries will be required to automatically self–isolate should they exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival in New Zealand.

These restrictions will all be reviewed in 16 days’ time."
I'm expecting an announcement soon from SANZAAR that Super Rugby will be postponed until further notice. The NZ Cricket short tour of Australia have been cancelled, and the players are on their way home to get here inside the time frame

SRU announced yesterday that all rugby including grass roots and training is cancelled with effect from 6pm tomorrow. I think the plan is for it to be off for a couple of weeks, but if you follow the epidemiology of Covid-19 - I do as a senior manager in the NHS - then it is clear that the expectation of peak impact is mid May, so I think it is unlikely that sport will restart until well after this!

Official start from tomorrow, but one of the clubs I was due to referee today refused to travel due to virus fears so effective from today really.

Refereed today. Shook hands with everyone. No football in top 4 divisions on the whole. No 6 Nations. Not much top flight Rugby either. Grassroots Rugby unaffected at the moment.
