    This is the salient point.

    When a team makes a substitution and that takes them to the limit of the number of interchanges they are permitted I will tell the Captain that is their limit. I would expect (at L6) the coaches to be keeping their own record, but the Captain may be unaware of the minutiae of Law with regard to substitutions.

    Re; Free Kick. I would say ONCE, 'its just a free kick' in case of any confusion but after that it's up to them to know the laws. If they ask a question about gain in ground I feel you have to answer it, but that is completely different to explaining their options before they kick.

    Normally I would agree , but the #8 pickup does not seem to be set in stone and last week's ref might have reffed it differently.. so I will tell both teams how I am going to ref it (ie correctly!)
