I quite frequently ref. age-grade rugby, and have the devil of a time remembering all the countless age-grade variations. I created this crib sheet to laminate & carry in my ref. wallet to use as quick pre-match aid-memorie.

Sharing in the hope somebody else finds it useful...

Neat summary - but with U16/17/18 oppo scrum halves can follow but need to keep both feet behind the ball, and aren't just stuck on the centre line. Hants RFU used to be the place to go for these variations, but haven't seen anything from them for a while.

High tackle line would be useful too, as early age grades it’s below armpit

Thanks both! I hate the way U15s are written inside the U15-18, so easy to miss that it only applies to U15... both updated at original link targets above.

I've not seen an U17 match. And anyway Boys U16-U18 all play to the same Regulations.

U15 Girls: SH off-side line is centre of scrum.
U18 Girls: contested LO is allowed.
(Both Reg 15, Appx 11, Para 5 - love the way they still use "he"!)

For second page, you may be better changing the scrum variation heading. WR U19 Variations include the 45 degree wheel (so why do RFU keep emphasising that - there is no 'Turnover' Law in adult rugby now) and max 1.5m push (which RFU don't mention again). Also equal numbers in scrum at all times (not necessarily 8).

Squeeze-ball?

More great input... original link targets updated.
I've left off is Squeeze-ball as I can't quite work out where it fits.

Below Tackle, all the way across. But is there room? Does page 2 have to be the same rows as page 1?

Itís at about the limit I want to get to on size. Itís bigger than a credit card and fits in my wallet + refs wallet.

Page 2 can be different

You don;t need a sperate line for squeezeball. its outlawed in all age grade rugby.

That was my reasoning - the only exception being U19 variations.
