Just watched season 5 episode 1. What a cracker. Any referee (of any code) may relate :)

BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it’s due to rights issues.

....last match of the season, all safely in the care of the four match officials.
David Morrissey, Ralf Little, Dipo Ola and Steve Speirs join Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton for a tale of promotion, relegation, corruption and so, so much more.

The contains strong language is a bit of a give away; some doubts concerning the parentage of the match officials was expressed, methinks.

Is it as good as Moneyball? One of the best sports films I've ever seen.

have none of you guys ever heard of Inside No 9? 5 seasons on BBC is a reasonable heritage.

Yes. Very cleverly written dark humour in the main. Excellent human behavioural observation material. Seen a lot of them. Including the one you mention.

Inside No. 9 is brilliant (generally). From half the writing team that brought us League of Gentlemen - 'ello Dave!

If you're old enough to remember Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected it like an modern, grown up version of that.

There's been some crackers over the years.
